Puja is a 16 years old blind girl coming from Phalatepur VDC, Ward # 1 of Banke district. She was born blind by birth. Her father is a farmer and mother is a house wife. There are three blind children in her family. Her younger brother, younger sister and herself. They have a small area of land in Bardiya which their parents lost in the flood, so her parent goes for labor work for earning money for the family. The income is hardly covering for the meal of three family members. Therefore, her parents brought her to Tri-Netra Foundation for education support. She has passed grade 4 and now she is studying in grade 5 at Laboratory Higher Secondary School, Kirtipur with a support of Tri Netra Foundation where she gets meal, shelter and medical facilities with other blind children.
